DJ Booth

Unlock your potenial!

Like it or lump it, internet radio is growing rapidly popular each year. Internet radio was once thought of as a ‘do it yourself’ station that sound unprofessional and run by wannabe DJ’s. In fact back in the day, when internet radio was first established, most web stations only managed to peak at around 10 listeners. Now, with the ever increasing speed of the internet and the growing number of ways to connect to the World Wide Web, internet radio has skyrocketed.

HoD has a great reputation of being a very welcoming and encouraging station to new DJ’s. We are a tightly knitted family who love to work hard whilst entertaining and having fun. We are always looking to expand our family and pack our station schedule with great shows. The DJ Booth has been set up to find new talent that will feature across the HoD network.

We don’t want to sugar coat anything and so if you are interested in joining HoD then that’s great, all applications are considered, however note that not everyone will be accepted. Please read through our requirements and terms before deciding to apply for a show.

Still Intrested?
Then let's get started!

There is a long list of reasons why you would want to become a Resident DJ with us, but to simplify things we have broken them down into four sections. Below is an explanation to what each section offers.

CREATE

Once you gain residency we will help you choose the right show format and suitable timeslot. You will have access to our unique Resident Area which has features for our DJ’s to use while broadcasting such as check requests and radio news.

PROMOTE
As soon as your show has been given the go ahead by the station manager, we will then work with you in making a media pack for you to promote yourself and your show.

BROADCAST
You will then be shown the ropes on how to broadcast across our station and we will give you full support in getting you and your show live to air.

LEARN
If you’re a budding DJ then you will certainly learn a lot from us and hosting a regular show will increase your confidence hugely!

If you are interested but don’t know how to ‘mix’ or have never featured on a radio station before then don’t worry, HoD station managers will give you a step in the right direction. If you can look and sound the part we’ll be willing to give you a shot. Don’t be fooled into thinking we let anyone host shows though, you will still need to have an interview and upon passing that, you will need to audition. Successful candidates will become resident DJs and then work with the HoD Management team to create a show of their own and get settled in!
